What to verify before buying land to build in the Riviera Maya.

Before a lot is worth designing for, five things need to be verified: whether the land carries any ejido (communal land) history, whether the title is clean and transferable, physical and legal access to the site, availability of utilities, and what the zoning actually permits to be built. Skipping any one of these can turn a promising lot into a project that stalls before it starts.
